We at My SchoolMitra (operated by GeDre Technology Solution) value the trust you place in us and understand the importance of secure transactions and information privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how My SchoolMitra collects, uses, shares, or otherwise processes your personal data through the My SchoolMitra web platform (schoolmitra.app) and mobile application (the “Platform”).

Scope

Our Platform is intended for use within India. Your personal data will primarily be stored and processed in India. By using this Platform, providing your information, or availing our services, you expressly agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy and agree to be governed by the laws of India, including laws applicable to data protection and privacy.

Collection of Your Information

When you use our Platform, we collect and store information provided by you from time to time. This includes:

• Account registration details such as name, phone number, and role (admin, teacher, or parent)
• Student information entered by school administrators including names, class, admission number, and attendance records
• Device push notification tokens to deliver important school alerts to your mobile device
• Usage data and preferences to improve the Platform experience
• Communications or feedback submitted through the Platform

Use of Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Deliver school notifications including attendance alerts, homework updates, fee reminders, and exam results
• Enable school administrators to manage students, staff, fees, and academics
• Send SMS and push notifications for real-time school updates
• Improve platform performance and user experience
• Provide customer support and respond to queries

Security Precautions

We maintain reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. Push notification tokens are stored securely and are automatically updated on each login to prevent misuse.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only processed through our secure internal backend systems and authorized service providers (such as SMS delivery services for OTP and school notifications). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Data Retention & Deletion

Users have full control over their data. Push notification tokens are automatically cleared when a user logs in from a new device. School administrators may request deletion of student or staff records from within the Platform. To request complete data deletion, contact us at prabhu@gedre.in — your data will be permanently deleted within 7 working days.

Children's Privacy

My SchoolMitra handles student data on behalf of schools. Student records are created and managed solely by authorized school administrators. Parents and guardians can view their child's data through the parent portal. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Push Notifications

Our mobile application uses push notifications to deliver school alerts. When you log in, your device's push notification token is registered to your account. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Old tokens are automatically removed when a new login occurs.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
